Some FinFolio reports have custom columns where you can pick any calculation from our library. We currently have about forty calculations which cover everything from transaction type summations, to rates of return, to fixed income accruals.

When you select a column calculation, you can also change any custom parameters for that calculation. For example, when you select Return, you can specify whether FinFolio should use the time-weighted return calculation or the dollar-weighted (internal) method.

We have one report simply called the "Four Column" report; every column on the report is a custom calculation column. Combine that with the custom grouping and ability to set the row level and your customization options are almost endless. I'll talk more about report grouping in my next post.
